Sainsbury’s Continue Safety Commitment

Sainsbury’s, one of the UK’s leading food retailers has specified Labcraft Interior Lighting for its commercial vehicles for 2008.

The Health and Safety Executive recommends a minimum lighting level of 20 Lux at floor level for a vehicle transporting and delivering goods (Lux is a measurement of light)

The level of light within a vehicle is important as the working environment can be a hazardous area and adequate light reduces the chances of slips, trips or falls. Labcraft designs lighting schemes specifically for each customer to insure the best level of light is reached.

Technology is constantly evolving so it is crucial that the lighting schemes are kept up to date. When new products are introduced and trialed the end results may differ so Labcraft will perform regular light tests and issue recommendations when needed.

Sainsbury’s are committed to providing a safe working environment for its staff and Labcraft are proud to be able to provide products that meet these requirements now andfor many more years to come.
