Labcraft is the market leader for commercial vehicle lighting.

 

We supply an extensive range of lights specially developed for commercial vehicles, ranging from small vans up to 40ft trailers, in addition to specialist vehicles, such as those used by the emergency services.These lights are designed to be quick and easy to install, with a uniform footprint to cut the time and cost associated with incorporating lighting into bespoke vehicles.

 

Our lighting solutions include high light output fluorescent tubes that last more than 10 times longer than conventional bulbs, and highly efficient LEDs that deliver outstanding performance for the life of the vehicle, and standard halogen bulbs. All our products are made to an extremely high standard for lighting you can depend on.

 

Furthermore, we have a range of lights specially designed for the refrigerated market. These dedicated solutions use the latest LED and fluorescent light technology, staying bright at temperatures as low as -40°C. Special attention has been made to ensure maximum durability and avoid costly downtime and intrusion into the load area once installed.

LED

 

White LED technology can provide both long life and energy efficiency. Figures vary from one manufacturer to another but the best quality devices now provide more than100 Lumens per Watt and will last between 50,000 and 100,000 hours (until the output has reached 70%). Life expectancy is reduced with higher ambient temperatures.

 

Fluorescent

Still one of the most efficient light sources available, fluorescent tubes produce up to 90 Lumens per Watt and they are much cheaper to produce than LED’s. They have a life span of about 10,000 hours (until light output has reached 80%) although this is reduced by frequent switching.

 

Halogen

A form of Tungsten lighting, Halogen bulbs are less efficient then LED or Fluorescent, producing only 20 Lumens per Watt. They are however, much cheaper to make and do not require any circuitry to operate from a low voltage supply. The life span is also less at about 1000 hours until failure so bulb changing is more frequent.
