Labcraft illuminates the UK's tallest trailer for Howard Tenens

Howard Tenens, the leading sustainable logistics company in the UK, has been working with Labcraft to provide an environmentally friendly lighting solution for one of their newest and tallest trailers in the UK.

The POWER ASTRO has now been launched offering a concentrated weatherproof LED lighting option where a linear angled source of light is required.

The Frigolight is designed to provide a high level of light in refrigerated vehicles where traditional fluorescent lights do not perform due to low temperatures.

Frigo series (HLF) The technology used involves the combination of halogen lamps with a traditional fluorescent circuit controlled by a temperature sensor. At cold temperatures the Halogen lighting is used to give high initial light output whilst increasing the internal ambient temperature of the light unit to its optimum, before switching off leaving the fluorescent tube to deliver maximum light output and reducing power consumption by over 50%. The latest versions use high efficiency tubes, PL11W (HLF11) and T5 14W (HLF18) for maximum light output. The housing is virtually unbreakable - extruded from Polycarbonate and sealed to IP66 with durable endcaps. This provides a strong, well insulated enclosure which protects components and enables pressure cleaning. A special version of the Frigolight is now available for applications where 220/24V ‘tail-lift transformers’ are used, as these often supply high voltage peaks.
